Find a Drum and Percussion Teacher Near You!
Who doesn't dream of playing the drums? And it's easier to get started than you may think. A beginner student can start with a pair of drumsticks and a practice pad (which emulates the "real feel" of a snare drum) for a minimal cost. As the student develops, you can buy one drum at a time (starting with the snare drum) or the whole kit. Another option is electronic drums, which can be played with a headset if noise is an issue, and are similar in price and feel to an acoustic drum kit. Melody Music Studios was founded in 1989 by Kathi Kerr. We offer fun, tailored lessons for all instruments, levels, and styles, reading or by ear. Our goal is to build a strong musical foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment.

We offer a one business-day grace period to cancel with a guarantee: if you're unhappy with the teaching, the first 30 minutes are free. Card information is required at sign up, but it is not charged until the following business day if you're happy.

Future lessons can be canceled anytime with a 30-day notice.

Our music teachers go through a rigorous hiring process. We check references and conduct background checks.
