Kathi Kerr - Owner/Founder

"I grew up in a musical family of composers and musicians that played by ear and could read music. So, I had the best of both worlds-training and a good ear for improv. Growing up, I regularly performed as soloist, as well as with my family, and knew early on that music was going to be my life! After high school, I studied for 2 years at Point Loma College for piano performance, than after a few years, transferred to The San Francisco Conservatory of Music in San Francisco, CA for another 2 years, studying under Julliard graduate, Mac McCray. Between colleges, I performed, toured and recorded in a contemporary Christian band as keyboardist and background vocalist. While at the conservatory, I started teaching private piano and voice lessons and found that I really enjoyed it. In 1989, I found myself with so many students, I decided to hire some of my advanced adult students to teach my overflow, and thus Melody Music Studios was started.

As Melody Music Studios began to grow, I decided to expand to all instruments and voice, and in 2001 opened multiple cities across the country. I have a passion for music and sharing it with others. I believe that, while learning an instrument or voice can be challenging, it should also be a fun musical journey."

Lilah Nielsen - Administrative Assistant

"I took piano lessons as a child through high school with the intention of making piano my life. In my senior year I began teaching, and found another passion in sharing my love and knowledge of the piano to others. I'm in college studying toward a piano performance degree with an expected graduation date of 2028. I joined the Melody Music Studios team in 2025 as "Administrative Assistant", where I have the honor to help students find the right instructor on our staff. Sam Saccheri - Head of Public Relations & Marketing

A highly disciplined U.S. Coast Guard veteran, Sam's operational experience translates directly into developing results-driven systems and disciplined execution for the studio. He is concurrently furthering his strategic knowledge by pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from American Military University.
