String Instuments By City
The most beautiful-sounding instruments are in the stringed family. Unlike the piano and drums, which are percussive, the notes on a stringed instrument when played with a bow, can be held as long as desired with crescendos and descrescendos. Or the musician can pick or pluck the strings to give a bouncy sound. Stringed instruments range from the violin, viola, cello, and upright bass to mandolin, banjo, and steel pedal guitars, to name a few. They cover from the lowest to highest notes, depending on the instrument. |
