Mary Lou graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa TX in 2011 with a Bachelor in Humanities. Before that, Mary Lou graduated from the Odessa College in Odessa TX for the Culinary Arts. While in college, she studied voice privately, participated in choir, and took musical theater and music, appreciation classes. She has also been involved with many community choirs and theater groups throughout the years. Singing has always been a part of Mary Lou's life from a very early age, singing in public venues (church and school) from about the age of five. She has continued throughout her school years until the present, performing in choir and many musical theater productions. Mary Lou began teaching early in her career and began teaching professionally in 2018. She offers classical, Broadway, pop, jazz, and sacred styles.
