Susan graduated from Chico State University in 1996 with a minor in Vocal Performance. While there, she sang with the CSU Chico Chamber Singer & Acapella Choirs, and college operas and opera workshops. She has performed across Eastern Europe. Before graduating from Chico State, she attended the Diablo Valley Junior College in Pleasant Hill CA for 2 years towards a Fine arts/Music degree. Susan began studying voice in junior high school from college professors, as well as performing both voice and guitar. She also found her passion for songwriting. Susan has been teaching since 1993 and offers classical,choral, folk, rock, pop, Indie, bluegrass, alternative for singing lessons. For guitar, she offers acoustic chording, finger picking, and strumming. Currently, Susan performs in the lead worship band at her church and at various events.

Melody Music Studios was founded in 1989 by Kathi Kerr. We offer fun, tailored lessons for all instruments, levels, and styles, reading or by ear. Our goal is to build a strong musical foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment.
We offer a one business-day grace period to cancel with a guarantee: if you're unhappy with the teaching, the first 30 minutes are free. Card information is required at sign up, but it is not charged until the following business day if you're happy.
Future lessons can be canceled anytime with a 30-day notice. Our music teachers go through a rigorous hiring process. We check references and conduct background checks.
