Samantha has played the viola since the early 2000's. In high school, she attended Interlochen Arts Camp for viola performance for three summers, and spent the five summers after graduating high school, working as the Intermediate Ensembles Orchestra Manager. Samantha graduated from the Syracuse University in New York in 2017 with a Bachelor in Viola Performance. While attending there, she was the teaching assistant to classes in the music education department. She also taught private lessons to music education majors (both string and non-string majors) and young students in the the Syracuse community, and helped develop a curriculum for the beginner and intermediate students in the String Pedagogy class. She also taught viola sectionals, lead rehearsals when needed, and observed various experienced conductors and teachers. Samantha then continued her education at McGill University in Montreal Canada and graduated in 2019 with a Masters in Musicology. Samantha begin her own private teaching in 2011, and offers classical, pop, and beginning fiddling styles.
