Gilmar received a Bachelors of Music from Federal University of Paraiba in Brazil. After that, he received a Masters in Music Performance from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA. He's currently working on a Doctor of Arts/Trumpet at Ball State University. Gilmar has been teaching since 2012 and offers classical, jazz, and Latin styles.
