Timmie graduated from the Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY with a Bachelor's in Vocal Performance in 2007. She continued her education to receive a Master's in Music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ in 2010 for Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. She is currently attending James Madison University, working on her doctorate in Performance, Pedagogy, Literature, and History. Along with her degrees, she also has had training and certification in early childhood music education from Kindermusik International. Timmie has been teaching privately and in the classroom since 2007, teaching voice, piano, and sax, and has worked with students of all ages. Timmie has performed in numerous choirs, musical theater, classical solo recitals, and lead operatic roles. Most recently she performed one of the lead roles at her current college opera production. On sax, she played for eight years and both stage and jazz band in junior high and throughout high school. Her styles include classical/opera, musical theater, pop, R&B, rock, jazz, gospel/sacred, and folk.
