David received a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA, in 2020. He continued there to receive a Master of Music in Saxophone in 2022. He is currently working on his DMA at the Manhattan School of Music, with an expected graduation date of 2025. David grew up in a very musical household and was exposed to many musical genres. He started on his own on the piano and guitar. Then in the school band, he picked the saxophone and found his passion. Throughout school, he participated in the school chamber choir, concert band, and Jazz band, as well as performing in a few different musical theater productions. While at the university, he performed in the wind ensemble, symphonic band, saxophone chamber orchestra, and in a professional saxophone quartet. He also competed in several solo competitions, being named the first-place winner in the 2020 CAPMT concerto competition. David began teaching in 2021 and offers Baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary 20th/21st century, and jazz styles.
