Raymond's Bio:
Raymond received a Bachelor of Music for Applied Voice, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. He later completed the Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting and received a music teaching credential from San Francisco State University. Following this he earned his DMA in Choral Conducting, with a minor in theory, from the University of South Carolina. Raymond has taught classical, sacred, gospel/spiritual, folk, and pop/jazz styles. He started singing as a young child and has also played piano and guitar from his early years. He has conducted choirs as well as bands and orchestras in churches, schools, and community settings. He has also sung a number of classical/folk vocal recitals and as chorister with the Trinity Lyric Opera company and the Rome Festival Chorus. In 2017 he performed a solo role in the opera, Singers Glen, by Alice Parker. In addition to private instruction, Raymond has taught choral and general music in the local public schools and is currently on the music faculty at Blue Ridge Community College.
