Amaia (pronounced Uh-My-Uh) received a Bachelor in Music from the Universidad del Pais Vasco/Euskal Herriko in 2007 and a Master's degree in Education from Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU). in Spain in 2011. She started showing a deep interest in music at a very young age, and by 7 Amaia began her professional training at the conservatory in her home town of Larrabetzu. There she chose the guitar as her second instrument per the conservatory's mandate and was classically trained until the age of 16. At that time, Amaia began experimenting with different types of modern music. Amaia moved to Nashville in October 2018 to continue her academic and personal development in the educational and musical field. She currently performs with multiple groups locally, ranging from rock and roll to Americana. Amaia began teaching in 2016 and offers classical, blues, boogie-woogie, pop, rock, reggae, and jazz styles.
