Laura attended the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, OH for four semesters majoring in piano, organ, and music theory. Prior to college, she studied piano privately for nine years with professional instructors. She holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and worked for 30 years as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working with clients ages 0-80 or so. She began a musical performance career in the mid-'70s, including work as an accompanist for local choruses including Stan Kingma's Virginians, and served as church pianist/organist/ music director for numerous churches. She continues to perform locally for weddings, banquets, and other events. Laura has been teaching piano since 1981, offering classical, jazz, sacred, pop, gospel, Christian, folk, and country styles.
