Omar graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY with a Liberal Arts Bachelor's degree. He has studied the piano since 2002 being classically trained until graduating high school. While in college, he found a love for jazz and included jazz in his studies, eventually using his classical background to form a fusion of classical and jazz. Omar has performed in jazz and blues ensembles, musical theater (pop style), and a reggae band In South Africa, including performing some of his own compositions. Omar has been teaching since 2013 at various elementary, middle schools and high schools throughout New York City. Omar offers classical, jazz, pop, rock, and Reggae styles.
