Leah holds a Master's in Music Education from the Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, IL, graduating in 2001. Before that she received a Bachelor in Music Education from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginw, MI in 1992. She is currently working on her PhD. Leah grew up in a musical family and started playing the piano and singing at age 5 in churches, choirs, and school musicals, and studied privately on both piano and voice. Then she found another love, composing, and began writing at the age of 14. In middle and high school she played oboe, baritone, and organ in school. She still performs locally for weddings, in church on both piano and organ, and directs the choir. She began teaching in 1992 both privately and in public schools. She offers light classical, gospel, pop, rock, and Contemporary Christian styles.
