About Ed

Ed is a seasoned musician and educator with a career spanning over five decades. His formal education includes two years of dedicated music study at Black Hawk College in Moline, IL, and further collegiate music training at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL.

Ed’s professional performance history began in 1966. Since then, he has performed at a staggering range of venues, from local Nashville favorites to world-renowned stages like Carnegie Hall. His talent has taken him on national and international tours, and he boasts extensive recording studio experience for CDs, television, and motion picture projects.

Teaching since 1982, Ed offers a masterclass level of instruction in nearly every genre, including Rock, Blues, Jazz, R&B, Funk, Classic Rock, Pop, Chord Melody, Folk, and Country. His easygoing and engaging personality makes him a favorite among students who want to bridge the gap between hobbyist playing and professional skill.

Studio & Professional Gear

Ed teaches from a dedicated 20x20 home studio in North Peoria (near 107th Ave and Rose Garden Ln). He is also available for in-home lessons and travels up to 20 miles within the NW Phoenix area.

Equipment: The studio is fully equipped with professional guitars, high-end amplifiers, keyboards, and Mac/PC setups with audio and video monitoring for both recording and online instruction.
