Mel first graduated from Corning Community College in 2001 with a Liberal Arts and Sciences - AS with a music concentration. He then graduated from Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA, in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music Performance - Classical Guitar. He continued his education at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA to receive a Master's of Arts in Worship Studies and Ethnomusicology. Mel has played the guitar since the mid-1990s, performing in numerous bands, from acoustic, electric, large, and small groups. He's also played solo, everything from classical and/ or jazz guitar to acoustic singer/ songwriter style of pop music. Mel has been teaching since 2003 and offers rock, jazz, Italian, and other world music, bluegrass, country, blues, pop, and classical.
