Jim studied at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX from 1987-1991 with a Music Education degree. He's been teaching since 1995. Since his time at school, Jim has gone on to perform in a number of different musical capacities, ranging from musical theatre (over 30 different professional shows), top-40 pop, R&B, and choral to small group jazz, studio recording, and private teaching. He teaches drumset and all forms of percussion. His styles include rudimental/marching, jazz, rock, pop, blues, R&B/funk, ethnic and musical theatre, among others.
