Doug studied at the Howie Mann studio from 1972-1977, as well as Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA for Percussion and Music Theory in 1974. He also attended the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, VA for Percussion and Theory from 1974 to 1975, the Mannes School of Music in Manhattan, NY for Music Theory in 1975, and the Southwestern Louisiana School of Music in Lafayette, La in 1985 for Advanced Percussion. Doug has been performing, touring nationally and internationally, and recording since the late 1970's with well-known musicians for jazz, rock, big band, and country venues. He's been teaching since 1998 for universities, colleges, music conservatories, and an academy of music school. Personality rating: outgoing and energetic |
