Charity started playing the piano at age four and fell in love with music! At age eleven, she began taking lessons and studied for six years. Within a year of starting lessons, she was playing specials for church and the main services, including composing and arranging the songs. Charity began teaching in 1996 privately, as well as for group lessons for music/piano, music history, and theory. She has experience teaching special needs students, such as blind students, Downs Syndrome, ADD, and ADHD, In 1997-98, Charity taught and managed the lessons at Westin Arts Academy in Ft. Collins. Throughout her teaching, her students stayed with the lessons for years and many have gone on to college on scholarship to make performance or music education their career, as well as seeing an improvement in their grades in school. Along with teaching, Charity continues to perform locally as soloist and accompanist. Charity offers classical, sacred, most contemporary styles, improvisation, composing, sight reading, theory, and ear training.
