Carol's Bio:
Carol started piano lessons at age eight and has studied with distinguished pianists throughout her training. As a teen, Carol was the winner of the All-City Piano Contest in Chicago and a semi-finalist in the Chicago Tribune Piano Contest. She received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Piano Performance from California State University, a BA in Social Studies (Music minor) from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Arts (MA) in History and an MA in Education from the University of California. Carol continues to attend and perform at annual worldwide pedagogy conferences on piano pedagogy. Carol began teaching in the mid-1970s. She has long been a member of the Music Teachers Association of California, where her students have participated in the Certificate of Merit program. She is also a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, Music Teachers National Association, Florida Music Teachers Association, and Sarasota Music Teachers Association, and attends national pedagogy conferences to keep up with the latest musical trends in teaching. Her styles include classical and some contemporary styles.
