James attended SUNY Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 2012 for 2 years for a Performing Arts degree and received a BS and a Music Certificate. He then transferred to SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, NY and graduated with a Bachelor in Music Performance in 2014. From 2016-early 2018, James performed on cruise ship lines. James continues to perform locally. He began teaching in 2010, and offers all styles, specializing in rock, jazz, blues, soul, neo-soul, funk, metal, classical, fingerstyle, Brasilian, and Latin styles.

Melody Music Studios was founded in 1989 by Kathi Kerr. We offer fun, tailored lessons for all instruments, levels, and styles, reading or by ear. Our goal is to build a strong musical foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment.
