Michael has been playing both acoustic and electric guitar since the early 2000s when he studied privately and began playing in bands in high school and college. Some of his music courses include Music Appreciation and Jazz Appreciation while an undergrad at Murray State University. In 2020, he studied from a professional guitar instructor based in Los Angeles CA, and is currently taking a guitar masterclass focusing on rhythm, advanced chords, scales, bending & vibrato, picking technique, sweep picking, arpeggios, and other theory and technical skills. Michael has taught since 2020 and offers rock, metal, praise/worship, Contemporary Christian, blues/minor pentatonic, Indie/Alternative Progressive, pop, country, and Nashville number system.
