Brian graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS in 2018 with a DMA in Flute Performance. Before that, he received his Masters at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the United Kingdom in 2013 for Flute Performance. He received his Bachelors in Flute Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He currently serves as Principal Flutist with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra in Sioux City, IA, and directs the Kansas City Flute Choir. He began playing flute as a child and violin in high school. Brian began teaching in 2005 and offers classical and most contemporary styles.

Melody Music Studios was founded in 1989 by Kathi Kerr. We offer fun, tailored lessons for all instruments, levels, and styles, reading or by ear. Our goal is to build a strong musical foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment.

We offer a one business-day grace period to cancel with a guarantee: if you're unhappy with the teaching, the first 30 minutes are free. Card information is required at sign up, but it is not charged until the following business day if you're happy.

Future lessons can be canceled anytime with a 30-day notice.

Our music teachers go through a rigorous hiring process. We check references and conduct background checks.
