Ruth has had a passion for violin and piano from a young age. She began her formal violin training in the 2nd grade through college with renowned professors from Julliard and other universities. Ruth also studied the piano with professional instructors from the age of 10-16 years old. Her musical endeavors have included receiving superior ratings for performances at Jr. Music Festivals, solo and sectional performances with various orchestras, winning concerto competitions, participating in master classes, and earning concertmaster positions. Ruth began teaching in 2000 and offers classical, pop, contemporary, and for piano only, light jazz.

Group lessons offered up to 4 students
Equipment: keyboard, violins, several music stands, and supplies for violins (i.e. rosin, shoulder rests, strings, etc.), and music library

Melody Music Studios was founded in 1989 by Kathi Kerr. We offer fun, tailored lessons for all instruments, levels, and styles, reading or by ear. Our goal is to build a strong musical foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment.
We offer a one business-day grace period to cancel with a guarantee: if you're unhappy with the teaching, the first 30 minutes are free. Card information is required at sign up, but it is not charged until the following business day if you're happy.
Future lessons can be canceled anytime with a 30-day notice. Our music teachers go through a rigorous hiring process. We check references and conduct background checks.
