Mike attended the Berklee College of Music for one year with a Guitar Performance major, where he studied methodologies for scale studies, modes, diatonic theory, chord theory, key signatures, and rhythmic studies, to name a few. He then attended the Umass Lowell College in Lowell, Ma part time with a Guitar Performance major, where he studied privately under some amazing instructors. He's been in bands since he was 15 and attended guitar workshops where he studied swing blues and jazz, and began performing in jazz bands. Mike is a versatile musician, and he continues to study, perform and compose his own music. Mike began teaching when he was 19, then stopped to tour and perform. He began teaching again professionally in 2009 for all ages and levels. His styles include rock, blues, jazz, country, and beginning classical.
