Sean holds a degree in music from the Young Harris College in Young Harris GA, graduating in 2014. He was raised in a musical family that played blue grass, and started playing guitar at age 10. He received his first electric guitar at the age of 12, and taught himself blue grass, rock, and heavy metal. When he studied in college, he found a new passion, the classical guitar. While in college, he participated in the guitar ensemble, jazz band, concert choir, and played in a local funk band. He also helped to coordinate a community-based Appalachian/bluegrass jam every month. Sean began teaching in 2012 , and offers classical, blue grass, acoustic, blues, funk, rock, and metal styles.
