Cristian has an M. M. from Bucharest University in Bucharest, Romania, graduating in 1980 with a French Horn Performance and Music Education degree. Cristian teaches trumpet, french horn, trombone and piano. He also received a Certificate of Completion post-graduate internship in 1983 with The Black Sea Philharmonic. He has been teaching privately since 1987 and both conducting orchestras and bands, as well as performing and touring both nationally and across Europe since 1977 in orchestras as well as solo performances. For piano, he studied a few years of technical piano classes and was coached in piano by a russian colleague from TSU. He received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts in July 2000. The last few years he has performed locally with the Nashville Symphony. Cristian is a member of the Nashville Association of Musicians and a member of the International Horn Society, which just published two large articles in the Horn Call magazine that is distributed worldwide.
