Heidi graduated from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant MI in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. She continued her education at the Cleveland Institute of Music in Cleveland OH to receive her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano in 2012. Then finally she received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, School of Music in Boston MA in 2017. She was awarded scholarships for all universities, and won the Accompanying Service Award. She won first prize for the Orchestra Concerto/Aria Competition in 2008, and first prize for the John Irwin Piano Competition in 2007. She's been performing and accompanying orchestras since 2007 for recitals and at concert halls. Heidi's musical journey began when she was only five when her family introduced her to the piano and she immediately fell in love with the piano. She began taking lessons as a child from a neighbor, but when Heidi studied in college, she found her local studies were lacking in technique, and decided her love was to teach and share with others to make sure they were on the right musical path. She began teaching in 2008 privately and for studios and academies. Heidi offers classical, jazz, pop, and most contemporary styles.
