Dan studied music theory at Schoolcraft college in Livonia MI for one year. He then studied with a professionally trained classical guitar teacher for four years, and privately from a professor at Wayne State University in Detroit. He also took lessons for two years from Hammel Music in Livonia, MI, as well as music theory in high school for three years under a PHD professor from the University of Michigan. Dan is an instrumental finger style guitarist specializing in arranging popular music for solo acoustic guitar performance as well as playing classical guitar and arranging standards for solo jazz guitar. Dan has performed over 30 years at country clubs, weddings, and other private and corporate specialty events as a solo guitarist. He has played before five-thousand people at a Steelcase Corporation customer appreciation event, to as few as twenty at a Legatus Society summit for Domino's Pizza owner Tom Monahan at his private Domino's Farms retreat in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dan has been teaching since 1977 and offers Finger style, acoustic guitar, classical, jazz, pop, and singer/songwriting lessons.
