Jonathan is a highly accomplished violinist and educator. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master of Music in violin performance at James Madison University, followed by a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) from the Catholic University of America. His deep academic background includes serving as a music theory teaching assistant from 2013 to 2017.
An active performer since 2011, Jonathan has served as the Concertmaster for the Baltimore Philharmonic Orchestra. His performance history is extensive, ranging from orchestral ensembles and music festivals to professional events like weddings and musical theater productions.
Teaching since 2010, Jonathan offers expertise in the Suzuki Method alongside other systematic approaches tailored to each student’s goals. He is a member of the Baltimore Music Teachers Association and the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society. His patient, easygoing personality helps students of all ages master both classical and contemporary styles.
Jonathan teaches from a designated, spacious home studio in Lutherville-Timonium (near I-83 and Padonia Rd). The studio is equipped with professional lighting and instruments to create an optimal learning environment.
Studio Features: A comfortable waiting area with sofas and a work desk is provided for parents or students. Jonathan believes in tailoring curriculum to the individual's pace, ensuring technical excellence and a genuine love for the violin.
