Kathi grew up in a musical family and has been performing since childhood. She began her private study on the piano in middle school and went on to attend Point Loma Nazarene University as a piano performance major. During her college years, she gained invaluable "real-world" experience touring nationally with a professional Christian Rock band.
Kathi later continued her formal musical education at the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music. This high-level academic background provided her with a deep understanding of both performance and music theory across multiple genres.
Providing private piano and voice instruction since 1985, Kathi is a highly versatile educator. She offers expert instruction in Jazz, Classical, Pop, Rock, and R&B styles. Whether a student wants to follow a traditional path with sheet music or master the art of playing by ear, Kathi tailors her methodical approach to help students of all ages achieve their musical goals.
