Juan received a Bachelors in Music for Voice Performance from Bellas Artes University Cali, Colombia, in 2018. In 2024, he furthered his education by receiving a Master in Music in Voice Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of South Carolina, with an expected graduation date of May 206. From 2022-2024, he debuted in the United States, singing in major opera roles in New York and New Jersey in multiple venues. Juan has been teaching privately since 2011. From 2018-2022, he was a teacher assistant at the Sole Academy of Music in Columbia, and in 2023, he was a teacher assistant for the voice professor at USC. He has attended a plethora of vocal pedagogy courses, master classes, and vocal technique workshops while at the universities. Juan offers lessons in English and Spanish. His styles include opera, musical theater, pop, rock, and jazz.
