Rachel received her Master's in Music in Vocal Performance from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN in 2011, and graduated with honors and a 4.0 GPA. Before that, she received her Bachelors in Arts in Music for Vocal Performance from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, TX in 2008, graduating with a summa cum laude. She also completed additional 15 credit hours in field of Education, including classes in special education. Along with her degrees, Rachel is also certified for Level I Kodaly Music Education, receiving that at the Kodaly Institute of Houston in Houston, TX in 2009. Rachel teaches voice, piano, and guitar. She has participated in several master workshops, and has performed as soloist for orchestras, ensembles and bands. During her graduate training, she was fortunate to get to work with Bill Wilkerson at the Vanderbilt Voice Center who worked with many recording artists who were showing signs of vocal damage. Rachel has been teaching since 2006, and her styles include classical, opera, art songs, contemporary Christian,jazz, pop, country, rock, musical theater, sacred music, among others.
