Garrett graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC in 2012 with a Bachelor in Music. While at the university, he received a wide array of education and training, performing virtually every style of music over the course of his study. His private instructor was pedagogy-focused, where he received much instruction on how to pass on his craft to the next generation. Garrett started music at a young age and joined the middle school and high school band, earning a seat in All-County/district/state honors bands. Garrett began teaching in 20017, and since graduating college, has served as a music teacher with the Salvation Army. He offers classical, orchestral, band, and chamber styles.
