Doug first attended the Universite' Europeene De Saxophone in France in July 2004. He received his Bachelor of Music Performance in 2005 from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. He continued his education to receive his Master of Music Performance in 2008 and a Certificate in Arts Leadership, as well as receiving his Doctorate of Music and Arts from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY in 2012 and a Minor in Theory Pedagogy. Doug has been a freelance jazz and concert saxophonist since the early 2000's touring around the world. In 2012, he was the saxophone professor at University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire. Doug currently performs with the Naval Academy Bands and continues to perform locally, teach and offer clinics. Doug has been teaching since 2000 and offer classical and jazz styles.
