Ariel received a Bachelor's of the Arts in Music from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL in 2009 for Music Performance and Pedagogy. As a child, Ariel studied private piano and sang in choirs. She studied both piano and voice in college, and sang in choir her senior year in college, both in the choir and as a featured soloist. In middle school, she was first chair percussionist in band. Ariel has been performing on piano, voice, and guitar since 1999, and has been teaching since 2009. Along with teaching and performing, Ariel is also a songwriter. Her styles include classical and most contemporary styles.

Bio from Ariel: Ariel Bui (she/they) has been teaching piano to beginner and intermediate students of all ages since 2012. Ariel earned an Artium Baccalaureus in Music from Rollins College in 2009. With academic and professional training in Piano & Piano Pedagogy, the art and business of teaching piano, she uses a variety of methodologies to fit each student's needs focusing on the foundations of reading music, basic technique and theory. Ms. Ariel splits her time between Nashville, TN and Taos, NM, offering lessons to students in both places and all over the world through a hybrid of in-person and online lessons. Described by The Nashville Scene as a “musician and arts advocacy polymath,” she has also worked as arts education organizer at Oz Arts Nashville; Jessi Zazu, Inc; YEAH’s Rock Camps; WXNA101.5 LP-FM; served on the board of The Slants Foundation supporting Asian American artist/activists & more. Ariel also composes and performs as a guitarist singer-songwriter, with multiple records produced by Grammy-nominated Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes).
