Melanie attended Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL for one year towards a degree in Music Education. There she performed in their symphonic band playing the clarinet. She then transferred to the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL to receive a Associates in Music in 2015. There she studied piano privately under a college professor and music theory. As a child, Melanie began private lessons on piano and clarinet at the age of 5 through 18 from her mom, who was a band director with a Masters in Music. For drums, she studied under several instructors during her childhood and began performing on both drums and piano/keyboard at the age of 13 for her church worship team. She has and continues to perform in her church's worship team on both keyboard and drums since 2007. Melanie began teaching in 2013 and offers classical, romantic, worship music (lead sheets, chord charts), pop, and rock styles.
