Liz is a multi-talented drummer, clinician, author, and audio engineer. A 1978 graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor in Music Education, she has spent decades refining her craft as both a performer and a songwriter. She is a published author with Alfred Publishing and a first-place award-winning jingle writer for Maxwell House Coffee.
As a world-class percussionist, Liz has extensive touring experience with renowned musicians and major production companies, including Carnival Cruise Line. She developed a revolutionary drum charting method book endorsed by industry legends such as Remo, Vic Firth, and Louie Bellson, which has become a global standard for professional drummers. Her expertise has been featured in leading publications like Tom Tom Magazine, Drum! Magazine, and Rhythm Magazine.
Teaching since 1978, Liz has led master classes at SAE Nashville, the Nashville Musicians Union, and the PAS International Conference. She offers expert instruction in all contemporary styles, including jazz and classical, and is passionate about guiding the next generation of musicians through piano, drum, and music software education.
Liz teaches from a spacious 25x17 professional home studio in Charlotte, TN (NW of Ashland City). Her studio serves as a full recording environment where students can explore the technical side of music production.
Equipment: The studio features a weighted 88-key keyboard, a full professional drum set, and a complete recording setup with the latest music software.
