A classically trained pianist who also plays by ear and is a dedicated singer-songwriter.
Laura began taking piano lessons at the age of six and was classically trained. She wanted to play what she heard on the radio, so she began teaching herself how to play by ear and began composing music at the age of eight.
She graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 with a Bachelor in Broadcasting and a Minor in Music, and furthered her studies at Nashville State Community College. Laura accompanied her high school choir, and while in college, composed a musical score for two theatre productions.
She began teaching privately in 2000. Along with teaching, Laura is also a recording artist that has released four albums under her indie label and is pursuing a singer-songwriting career. She is affiliated with NSAI and ASCAP and has played at the famous Bluebird Cafe, Listening Room, Douglas Corner and numerous other venues which feature original music.
