John's Bio:
A born and bred New Yorker, John's musical journey began with the award-winning jazz big band at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, NY. From there he went on to study performance and education at Five Towns College and Long Island Univ.(Brooklyn Center) on a full scholarship. He has studied and performed with well known musicians and is a much sought after guitarist, producer, composer and arranger that has worked in the music industry since the late 1990's. Performing worldwide, he has toured Europe and had the prestigious opportunity to play before the Pope in Bologna, to name a few of his accomplishments. John began teaching privately in 1995 and has taught in the elementary schools in Brooklyn and Bronx New York since 2009. He is presently teaching in Brooklyn New York part of a jazz Grant program. John offers both traditional and by ear and all styles, from classical to jazz, pop, rock, R&B, and gospel, to name a few.
