Dexter is currently attending the University of North Texas in Denton, TX towards a Bachelor in Jazz Studies, Drumset with an expected graduation date of 2020. Dexter has been playing the drums ever since he started a garage band in third grade with some buddies from school. Since then, he began formal lessons in school and independently. His study grew to include drumset, concert percussion, marching percussion, and a solid foundation of general musical mechanics. He's had and continues to have experience performing live and in recording studios in a wide variety of styles and venues. He participated in a a summer program on the snareline of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, and taught high school drumlines. Dexter began teaching in 2015, and continues to perform, record, compose, and study. He offers jazz, funk, rock, pop, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, concert percussion, and marching percussion styles.
