Brent was born into a deeply musical family; his mother was a dedicated music teacher who encouraged his talent from the start. He began his formal musical education at the age of five on the accordion. By age ten, Brent was already competing in State Championships, and as a teenager, he played percussion in his school band throughout high school.
At fourteen, Brent began formal drum lessons and joined his first rock band. He later taught himself the guitar at age eighteen, eventually performing as a vocalist and instrumentalist in several bands—a career that continues to this day. Brent attended Olympic College in Bremerton, WA, where he focused on Education while taking specialized courses in Music Theory and Music Engineering.
Teaching since 2004, Brent has a versatile background that includes leading music programs at elementary schools. In addition to teaching and performing, Brent is an active participant in professional recording projects. He offers expert instruction in Pop, Country, Rock, and Traditional styles, bringing an outgoing personality and decades of practical industry experience to every lesson.
Brent teaches from a professional environment in Port Orchard and is an expert in high-quality online instruction. He also travels for in-home lessons throughout the local area.
