Alecia is an accomplished musician and educator based in Katy, Texas. Her musical journey began at the age of eight with formal piano study, a passion that continued through her school years where she was a featured soloist in her high school’s choir performances. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2001 with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education, beginning her professional teaching career that same year while completing her degree.
Since establishing her career, Alecia has become a versatile leader in the music community. She has directed numerous performances and concerts and has a successful track record of preparing students for prestigious all-state choir auditions and performances. Beyond private instruction, Alecia is an innovator in music curriculum; she created and organized a specialized piano keyboard program used for group instruction and has extensive experience teaching KinderMusik to preschool-aged children.
Teaching since 2001, Alecia is known for her laid-back, yet outgoing and encouraging personality. She offers expert instruction in Classical, Jazz, Pop, and most Contemporary styles for both Piano and Voice. She believes in creating a supportive environment where students of all ages can build technical proficiency while developing a genuine, lifelong love for music.
