CLICK FOR REVIEWS: Keyboard Student
Kenny was born in a musical family. His brother led a very successful contemporary gospel group, where Kenny learned how to play keyboard and sing. He began playing and singing in church by age 11, and quickly became the church's musician and choir director at a young age. Deciding early on to pursue music as a profession, Kenny began taking formal music lessons at age 13 and studied under top professional instructors from the colleges in his area. Kenny received his Bachelor of Music Program at Queens College with a concentration in composition and arranging. He continued his education at The Julliard School (Extension Division) taking classes in theory, ear training and composition. Kenny has been on the road with some of the top names in the music business since the 1980's doing tours and recording projects. Although Kenny can teach traditional piano and voice, his strength is offering ear training and improvisation. He's been teaching since the 1980's, and his styles include gospel, R&B, jazz, Hip Hop and light classical.
