Jena graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL in 2008 with a Bachelors in Music Performance. She continued her education at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA to receive a Masters in Music Performance in 2011. Jena is an active chamber musician, soloist, and educator in the Chicago area. She has performed extensively throughout the world including tours in Europe, Mexico, Japan, and the United States. She has been a guest section member with the Chicago Lyric Opera, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra, Steamboat Springs Festival Orchestra horn sections and was acting 2nd and 4th horn of the Louisiana Philharmonic orchestra for the 2012 and 2013 seasons respectively, to name only a few of her accomplishments. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at Northwestern University. Jena has been teaching since 2005, and her styles include classical, jazz, chamber music, and most contemporary styles.
