Dave's first interest with music came at an early age. Influenced by his mother, who was a pianist, he began playing the piano at an early age and then started playing the ukulele at the age of 11. Soon thereafter, Dave was introduced to the guitar, and he has never looked back since. David studied with several influential people growing up, than studied at Southern Connecticut State University for a couple of years as a music major in the early 1990's, studying privately with professors there. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Science for an education degree, and taught in the public schools for many years. Dave also taught at a conservatory of music for more than 5 years. Later he went to China for a couple of years to perform and teach. Dave continues to study as much as possible with professional and notable musicians. Dave played his first reading gig with Henry Mancini during his second year of college. Shortly thereafter, he played with the Supremes and was hired immediately to play with Stevie Wonder and other Motown acts. Other notable musicians Dave has performed with are Billy Fellows, Leslie Uggums, The Buddy Rich Orchestra, Rebecca Paris, just to name a few out of many famous musicians, performing in concert halls, night clubs, TV Shows (Johnny Carson Show), festivals, cruise ships, casino shows, among other venues. Dave has also recorded many projects with numerous musicians. Dave has been teaching since 1965, and his styles include jazz, country, rock, folk, and blues.
